29th January – Grassington School Visit

Delighted to see the children, teachers and assistants at Grassington School. The children were a fabulous audience. They have been reading about the adventures of Fergs and the Eco Tykes especially the adventures of Helen the Hedgehog. In ‘The Plastic Pollution Revolution’ they have also been watching The Blue Planet and were bursting with information about the damage plastic is doing to the environment. Their teachers have used the story and Ferg’s tasks to enable cross curricular learning through Science and creative skills.

I look forward to revisiting the school before the Easter holidays to see how their projects have developed and their aim to help reduce the amount of waste by recycling. They are very aware Easter treats have packaging that can be harmful to the environment. High five to all the new members of The Eco Tyke Clan!
